Repair just the rust-prone bottom edge of your tailgate instead of the whole thing and save big $$. This 18-gauge lock-in panel is a press fit. It does require at least spot welding but offers the best fit and most coverage available. Our design comes up to the first “crease” line on the outside at 3 5/8″ and up 2″ on the inside. This not only offers potentially more coverage for damaged areas but also makes alignment and weld-in in a more “natural” position for the shape of the tailgate. If you are planning to use this panel over existing portions of your tailgate, please take precautions to stop additional rust before installing the new panel.
