FAQ

Q: Can I install this in my driveway or garage?
A: Yes, but it will require, several tools, a degree of mechanical knowledge, welding, and an alignment. Consider this a challenging erector set that will take several days to install Monster Mike at the Bronco Garage rates this install at a 6 out of 10

Q: What degree C bushings are on The Duck?
A: The Duck is running 7-degree C bushings for optimal caster. This typically requires a high angle-long travel driveshaft which we offer. The caster created by this kit in the front axle on the Duck is part of why it handles like a modern vehicle.

Q: I have a 1966 Bronco. Is there anything extra I will need?
A: This system is compatible with '67-77 Broncos. If you have a '66 Bronco we highly recommend inspecting your rear shock mounts as '66 Broncos came equipped with stud-eye rear shocks.

If it's already been converted to a rear stud-eye shock then you'll want to order this for a '67 Bronco. If your '66 Bronco has a stud-eye shock you can upgrade to our classic shock mounts here.

Q: How do I learn more about the Dual Sport Steering Mounting system and TRO vs TRU?
A: Check out our tech corner with Monster Mike here.

Q: Do I need to purchase driveshafts?
A: It depends. This system will give your front axle more caster and in some cases, you will need a high angle - long-travel front driveshaft. Our high angle long travel driveshafts are designed to work with a stock style drivetrain with our 2.5" & 3.5" inch suspension lift systems. Check out #3818 and #3819 for more information and to place your order. We currently do not offer custom driveshafts.

Q: Can I use my stock sway bars with this lift?
A: No you can't. You will need to run the ones provided with this lift

Q: Can I purchase Extended radius arms instead of T-rex arms with this system?
A: No. We recommend you do not buy this system if you want something different. You can create your own lift system using the parts we sell if you would like something different than what is offered here.

Q: Can I purchase longer shocks and shock mounts with this system?
A: No. We recommend you do not buy this system if you want something different. You can create your own lift system using the parts we sell if you would like something different than what is offered here.

Q: Can I get this lift in a different color?
A: This system is offered in Duff's signature blue powder coat or Midnight Series Metallic Black powder coat.

Q: What are the specs on the Duck's tire sizes?
A: The Duck features 35/12.50/17 BFG KM3's with 17" x 9" Method Wheels // 2.5" suspension lift with 1" body lift- For a deep dive you should really check out the thread on classicbroncos.com

Q: What shock mounts does this system include?
A:  This suspension system is engineered to use the factory mounts that came equipped on your Early Bronco. It does not include any additional shock mounts. Until March '66 Ford used a stud-eye shock on all 4 corners of the vehicle. Halfway through the 1966 production year, Ford upgraded the rear shock mount to an eye-eye style shock. This style of shock is more robust in all situations of driving, especially off-road. When purchasing a new lift system for your Early Bronco you must first verify what shock mounts you have on your Bronco. If your Bronco has stud-eye shocks at all 4 corners, select a system for a '66. If your bronco is a late '66-'77 Bronco, then you just need to select a system for a '67-'77. If your Bronco does not have shock mounts as shown in the photos below, then we highly recommend for you reach out to our Bronco Life Coaches for assistance in building the correct system for your Bronco. You can send them photos of your setup using our contact page and they will reply with the correct information you need. Your Bronco may have a long travel or different style shock mount that is not compatible with this system or may require longer shocks.

1966.5-1977 Eye to Eye Rear Shock Mounts - Picture here.

1966-77 Front Stud Eye Shock Mounts - Picture here.

If you would like you can upgrade your early '66 bronco to a stud eye style shock mount by using our classic shock mounts, available here.

We recommend installing these forward of the axle instead of behind the axle to help combat axle wrap issues.

How to Buy

How to spec out your Duck Tuff Performance Package...

With such a comprehensive kit and the options it comes with, we have designed an interactive configurator to help guide you through selecting all the correct parts. Take some time to get familiar with the options and selections and read the information at each step to help guide you through what you need and why.

Accessories and add-ons may require you to do a little more research on what your Bronco already has and what may or may not have already been done to it. After 50+ years of being on the road, the Bronco could have had several different parts added and removed on it.

This performance package comes standard with 7 Degree C bushings. In some cases, the front driveshaft that your Bronco comes with may need to be replaced to work properly. This is why we offer a new long travel, high angle drive shaft.
