Hi Ho Loco | James Duff Inc.

Our rock crawling bronco

Silver's crazy sister, Loco, is our testbed for taking the Bronco platform down the trails using our parts and putting them to the test. She features several unique customizations to make her a crowd favorite when wheeling down the toughest trails across the county. Loco has a Red, White, and Blue paint job to match Silver. We take pride in being able to offer the best Bronco parts you can buy that are made in the U.S.A. and that are proven on and off-road.

HI HO LOCO proudly features the following parts:

  • Loco is a 1970 Bronco with a Howell fuel-injected 408 stroker, C6 transmission and 5.0:1 Atlas Transfercase, both with custom Duff shifters.
  • Built to be the nasty big sister for East coast messy wheeling to Silver’s west coast style. The body has been narrowed 8” (see tailgate handle location or FD on grille for reference) to keep it away from trees and rocks (fairly successful as the paint and bodywork were done by James and Suzy in 2008, note the ❤️ shapes and skulls and similar paint job to Silver)
  • Our off the shelf 5 1/2" Monster four-link. Wheelbase stretched 2” front and 2.25” rear. Coil springs mounted with our 5112 offset coil spring towers, custom front shock hoops to account for width and wheelbase.
  • It has full width, 1-ton axles from a 1991 F-350: Dana 60 front and a Sterling 10.25” rear.
  • Currently, on 39” Red Label BFG Krawlers on Walker Evans wheels with OMF Beadlocks with maximum offset to get the track as wide and as far outside the body as possible for maximum stability and body protection.
  • Converted to rear discs with our kit because the low gears would override the drum brakes.
  • With a narrowed body, storage is at a premium and we’ve squeezed every bit in we can with Tuffy under-seat drawer 4799 and Tool Trays 7150
  • Mastercraft Seats 4740 with rear-facing bench to accommodate Suzy’s most common passengers, dogs Ben and now Penny.
  • Trail doors with removable skins for maximum air movement in the heat but mud protection for the rest of the year.
  • Narrowed versions of our plate bumpers
